Membership Categories

The ASBD offers six different categories of annual Membership for eligible healthcare professionals who meet the following requirements.

Professional MD/PhD Membership
is available to individual healthcare professionals located both in and outside the United States who are providing breast care or have an interest in breast disease care or research. Dues for 2012 are $375.00 for MD's and PhD's, and $175.00 for Allied Professionals, $150.00 for Nurses, and $100.00 for MD/PhD Senior Status and Retired Physicians.

Fellows/Residents Membership
is complimentary for any individual currently enrolled in an approved breast healthcare training program. Please use the Professional Membership Application form when applying for a fellow membership.

International Membership
is available to professionals outside the United States only. All publications are provided online. The reduced dues levels of electronic membership are based on the World Bank classifications of economies - Low (Level 1), Middle Lower (Level 2), Middle Upper (Level 3) and High (Level 4). Please click here to determine which Level applies to your country. Dues for 2012 are $50.00 US for Level 1, $65.00 US for Level 2, $95.00 US for Level 3 and $155.00US for Level 4.

Breast Center Membership (Accredited)
is available to organizations involved in breast disease care and research and hold current 501(c)(3) IRS status. Must be able to document both. Each organization will receive up to 5 memberships, with one member receiving publications both in print and online, and all remaining members receiving online access to publications. Dues for 2012 are $895.00.

Breast Center Membership (Non-Accredited)
is available to organizations involved in breast disease care and research and hold current 501(c)(3) IRS status. Must be able to document both. Each organization will receive up to 5 memberships, with one member receiving publications both in print and online, and all remaining members receiving online access to publications. Dues for 2012are $995.00.

Corporate Membership
is available to organizations interested in supporting the ASBD mission of advancing the multidisciplinary team approach to breast healthcare. Each organization will receive the following:

  • Logo recognition on the ASBD Website Banner, in the ASBD Advisor, the ASBD E-Newsletter and other ASBD publications and communications for one year.

  • Sponsorship Recognition at one ASBD Meeting per year (choose from the School of Oncoplastic Surgery, Annual Symposium, online tumor boards, webinars, public awareness activities.)

  • One complimentary exhibit table at one ASBD Meeting per year.

  • Prominent corporate logo exposure on signage, podium recognition and in Meeting Program at chosen meeting.

  • Exclusive sponsorship of one ASBD Special Event (including but not limited to a Breakfast, Luncheon, Dinner, Gala Event, Faculty Reception, Poster Reception).

In addition, one member of the corporation may receive publications both in print and online, and four additional individuals may receive online access to publications. Dues for 2012 are $10,000.00.
