Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission for the 36th Annual Symposium of the American Society of Breast Disease is now closed and all submissions are now under review by the Abstract Selection Committee. Submitters will receive notifications of the Committee's decisions no later than Monday, March 5th, 2012.

Meeting Detail

The Annual Symposium will be held on April 12-14, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. The Annual Symposium will be attended by breast specialists from around the globe who practice in all specialties involved in breast cancer management.

Recognition for Selected Abstracts

The Breast Journal Awards & Mini-Oral Abstract Session
Three outstanding abstract submissions will be chosen to receive The Breast Journal Award for 2012. These abstracts will be presented during the Breast Journal Awards Plenary Session on Friday, April 13th from 4:30 - 5:15pm. Presenting authors may use PowerPoint slides to accompany their oral presentation. In addition, these award winners will be invited to submit an article for expedited publication in The Breast Journal. This session will also feature mini-presentations of abstracts deemed to represent the best science by the ASBD Symposium Abstract Submission Committee.

Poster Session

General Poster Display — abstracts will be grouped by topic and displayed on poster boards beginning on Thursday, April 12 at 1:00pm and remain on display for the duration of the Annual Symposium.

Poster Viewing Session — a poster viewing session and reception will be held on Friday, April 13th from 5:15 - 6:00pm. First Authors should be available during this viewing session to informally answer questions from meeting attendees. If the First Author is not available, another author will be allowed to answer questions, but should no authors be available during this Viewing Session the poster will be withdrawn.

Submission Deadline

All submissions had to be received by Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 5:00pm EST. Submitters will receive notification of Committee decisions no later than Monday, March 5th, 2012.
